Friday Night Visitor

Last night 'Like A Midnight Rendevous' came over. I was a little nervous about the setting since my mom and Abi will see me interact, but it actually turned out wayyyyy better than I expected. Although I still have to get use to his sarcastic humor, I found him funny. He was very relaxed the whole time and entertaing. The night was young so we played pool and talked. Halfway into the game he told me I sucked at introducing my mother, because he doesn't even know what to call her (hahaha). I didn't have an answer to his question and I told him we'd ask my mom later. I was surprised to hear that he wasn't comfortable calling my mom by her first name, because I always thought calling your friends' parents by their first name was acceptable (eventhough I never do) in the American culture. Then my mom made us have dinner together... it was nice, but still a little strange haha! It wasn't a big deal but of course awkwardness follows me like a tail if I were to have one. We asked my mom what he should call her, he told her why he was curious and immediately he earned ten points for that (HAHA). My mom liked him a lot and so did the little one, haha! My mom even told him he could call her 'tita'.

Tita:
Translated// means Aunt in the Filipino language; Tagalog. Used for close family and friends to address their elders.

I just remember my mouth opening in shock. Abi just started laughing...

Anyway we ate and I have to say he gets a lot of phone calls. Especially from his friends. Apparently they were waiting for him to come back to them. It was hilarious, I thought he sounded like he had his 'wives' on the other end of the phone. Afterwards Abi joined us for a couple of games of pool and foosball. It was all fun and games until Abi decided to beat us in every possible way. I swear it was 2 against 1 in foosball...and she still won, haha! Anyway it was a good night. he left around 8 pm and before he did my mother said:

"Come back anytime."

I really do wonder, is he really that charming and how did he get my mom's approval so quickly??

Tricky, tricky.

Winterfest Rally 2009

It's almost Friday! Tonight instead of staying home, doing my homework (which I had a lot of eh), studying for the U.S government test, and watching Smallville... I was forced to go to my high school rally. Good thing Abi was home and she recorded it :)

The nominated winterfest princes and princesses were:
1. Patrick Armstrong and Corinne Dickey
2. Jacob Evans and Kayla Carter
3. Matthew Clark and Brittany Gire
4. Juan Lopez (?) and Lory Rueles
5. Kevin Schuh and Samantha Balentine

Anyway besides my ears ringing afterwards, it was fun.
Tessa, Jess, Lyndsi, and Sone
HAHA oh gad Jess's fro..

Jess You're Finally Legal

Jess's birthday party was amazing. As usual we were all very wholesome haha! I can't ask for anything more; good food and great company. I can't believe she's 18! Oh man time does fly by so quickly. We're all graduating this year and I only wish her the best in life. I love you!

Like A Midnight Rendezvous

I took a nap yesterday evening and it was really, really good. I wasn't planning on it but I fell asleep on the sofa and I was awakened by my mother who told me it was 11 30 pm and that I should go to bed. I was being especially sassy towards her considering I hate it when people interupt my sleep. Anyway I got up and brushed my teeth, washed my face, changed my clothes, and I decided to check my email. When I checked my facebook I saw someone whose name I shall not say; online. I can honestly say that what happened was nothing I could imagine. To say the least we talked until 5 am in the morning and I was thoroughly entertained. I thought to myself; Did I just meet my equal. It's weird because I think we have been together in the same school for almost 4 years and it took us this long to become friends. Anyway the sad thing is that there are complications and though nothing romantic might happen (I'm not implying that is what I want lmao), I'm just glad to know there is someone out there who is like him. The only thing I regret is that I wished I stayed up for the sunrise (with him? haha). It's been awhile since I did that. I believe the last time was with Abi and April just this past summer. Oh well, perhaps some other time.

*Here are some pictures I took from last summer:

Hmm what else? I guess that's all I wanted to say... I thought it'd be best that I document this incident for future references lol.

Because Mr. Wright is Hilarious

It's friday! The week went by so slowly. Gaaad it was painful, but finally it's friday and I'm so excited because it's a three day weekend! [Thanks to the great Martin Luther King] So the whole day I had to catch up on homework because I didn't do it at home. 6th period came around and I had a U.S government test and hmm... I didn't do so well (understatement). I actually wrote a little note to my teacher saying,

"Mr. Wright, save yourself some time and stop reading this because I have no idea what I'm talking about".

Yeah it was that bad. I didn't get to study because... well... it's like this. Oh whatever I'm a lazy student. There I said it. So I turned my test in, waited for the rest of the class to finish taking their tests, listened to my ipod for a bit when suddenly Mr. Wright comes and hands me my fat packet of Supreme Court Cases I did last week. He stood there smiling at me like he did something fantastic. So I flipped the pages one by one looking for something significant. I looked up at my teacher and he realized I needed a little direction so he pointed at my name on the upper right corner of my packet.

First I was shocked and then I started laughing because he added Clark to my fullname LMAO

*Matt Clark is my 'crush'. Did I mention the whole school including the staff knows about it?

That Mr. Wright is one funny man.

Well until next time; have a great weekend!!

4.0 for a day

Today I woke up at 5 45 am. I'm halfway into my senior year of high school and you'd think I'd eventually grow fond of lack of sleep but getting up in the morning is still the hardest thing ever and of course high school still sucks. Perhaps even more lately. Senior project is a waste of time and I don't see why I have to write an essay to graduate. I mean is it enough that we excessively write in-class essays, normal essays, analyses for poems and books and why romanticism affected the 1700s. Damn. it.

Good news is my paper passed, so I can't complain. I can't speak for the 70 percent of the seniors though (so I've heard). Most of them were placed on the first safety net for technical errors. There were tears shed and blood spilled today. Well maybe not the blood, but there was definately crying. I felt bad for the people that didn't pass just because some teachers are a little more anal than others. Oh man, life is harsh. Anyway the weather was nice though. I'm breathing. I can walk. I'm healthy and the best thing? My GPA skyrocketed from a 3.7 to a 4.0 today! I asked my teacher if he could log in some extra credits I did last semester to change my grade to a B but instead he accidentally placed an A! The whole day I was bouncing, hopping, and skipping like a queer. I was so so so so so very happy. I couldn't even hide my dumb expression of happiness, a kid in my class asked me if I was high... haha. So like I said It was a good feeling. The feeling that I'm actually one of the smart asians, but this could only last so long.

Eventually when school ended I realized that I have to go tell my teacher about this wonderful mistake. I know I should just shut up and go along with it. Sort of see it like a blessing, right? Believe me if I were a scheming teenager I'd gladly shut my mouth and live my life with my 4.0...but I can't. I have this annoying thing called a conscience nagging at me. I wish I was more of a unscrupulous little bastard. Oh well, it was nice having it for an afternoon. I came home showed my mom my transcript with the 4.0 and said, "Look mother I have a 4.0! "
After she soaks in that good moment, let her glow with pride for a bit. Then I'll tell her that it was a mistake and that I'll have to go send my teacher that e-mail informing him he has made my day, but I don't deserve that beautiful A he's given me...

So that was my day. Nice weather, temporary 4.0, and looking high on crack.
What more can I ask for?

hello blogspot

I miss the summer! Especially today when I ran down the street and my fingers started to swell up from the cold. Aside from painful fingers my day was great. So I've had my fair share of free social networking online websites. Myspace, Friendster, Xanga, Multiply, and Facebook. Yes, I've been around and now I have a blogger! Well that's all for now, I'll post again when something more interesting happens.
